Darren Tindale - Mornington Peninsula Photographer

Darren Tindale was a photojournalist with the Herald Sun newspaper for 24 years. During his time working in the newspaper industry he covered Victorian and national news events, high profile identities, special features as well as most of Melbourne’s major sporting events.

Between 2000 & 2006 he was Picture Editor for the Sunday Herald Sun, coordinating the newspaper’s pictorial content and managing and mentoring many of Melbourne’s highly respected newspaper photographers of the time.

In 2012 Darren finished with the Herald Sun to establish his freelance business Darren Tindale Photography.

Darren is now enjoying life away from the hustle and bustle of the newspaper industry and lives on the Mornington Peninsula with his partner Bronwen Healy, a specialist equine photographer. Aside from the work he enjoys doing with Bronwen, Darren is establishing a Pet Photography niche, as well as relishing the challenge of working with a diverse mixture of corporate and personal clients who entrust Darren with the production of their high quality photographic needs.

Darren also continues shooting and assisting Bronwen in her pursuit of creating world class equine imagery. You may find him holding a boom with an off camera flash, rigging up a backdrop for a stallion shoot, or photographing foals, yearlings or a panorama on a stud farm.
Life is never dull, photography has taken Darren to many beautiful cities, regions and countries - Darren thoroughly appreciates the friendships and the opportunities that it has afforded him.
